Expectations and Requirements

Students who wish to participate in the Integrated Engineering Design program are expected to:

  • Commit to the EF437/438 2-course sequence (3 credits fall, 3 credits spring)
  • Devote 10-to-15 hours a week (class + project time)
  • Learn and implement systems engineering processes
  • Finish on time and within budget
  • Be a good teammate

Program Requirements

In order to participate in the program, a student must be senior standing gall of the program year (approximately 30 hours to graduation) and:

  • participating in the Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program or
  • has submitted an application form and been accepted by the IED Admissions Committee.

Students should note that the EF437–EF 438 courses are listed as an honors sequence. Students are not required to be in the honors program to participate; however, students should expect a significant workload to be successful in this program.

We are now accepting applications for Interdisciplinary Senior Design.

Rising senior business and engineering students are encouaged to apply.
